We are finalists in the "Nos Talents sur Scène" contest!
We won't lie: we are incredibly proud. Out of 76 applications received this year for the music contest Nos Talents sur Scène, we have been selected as one of the 5 finalists to perform on stage at Le Fil in Saint-Étienne, this Wednesday, May 14, 2025 starting at 7:30 PM.
Following a series of concerts in March where 20 bands were auditioned, the jury – composed of music industry professionals – has made its decision: August Is Gone will be part of the grand finale. A golden opportunity to showcase our project, our sound, and our energy.
What This Means to Us
Coming partly from Veauche, being in this top 5 in Saint-Étienne is already an honor.
We're coming with our own universe: post-hardcore, sometimes tinged with post-punk or metal.
What drives us: doing everything ourselves, from composition to mixing, recording, and above all,
bringing it to life for you on stage.
On May 14, we'll give it our all. It will be a new milestone in our journey. A chance to meet other passionate artists, make some noise together, and keep our region's emerging scene alive.
Come Support Us!
The concert is free, so don't hesitate to come see us at Le Fil (Boulevard Thiers – Saint-Étienne). Your presence matters more than you know: every shout, every clap, every look gives meaning to what we do.
We promise you an amazing night. Come discover (or rediscover) August Is Gone live and support the talents of tomorrow.
The Other Finalists
We are very happy to share this stage with 4 other projects that deserve your full attention:
- PYTT (Montverdun) – Poetic and committed song, accompanied by sign language. A performance full of gentleness and meaning.
- MENACE PÂTE À MODELER – MPAM (Saint-Étienne) – Explosive pop punk and DIY lyrics. A breath of fresh air for the local punk scene.
- REITNOP (Saint-Étienne) – Solo on stage but complete in his delivery: a moving, precise, and personal electro-rap. At 22, he's already making his mark.
- DEARR (Villars) – Sensitive and powerful pop rock. Each track has a different atmosphere, always sincere and controlled.
Each of them has their own universe, convictions, and energy. This diversity is what makes this contest so rich. We are proud to be part of it alongside them.
See you on May 14 at 7:30 PM at Le Fil in Saint-Étienne. Let's make some noise!
